About this Diagram

Project Description: This diagram provides a basic visualization of how xAPI statements are triggered by the user when they access content in the LMS or LXP and sent to the LRS where they can then be accessed in reports and used for analysis. The organization I worked for migrated from an LMS to an LXP. The new LXP offered xAPI which had not yet been available to or experienced by the LMS admin team and content creators. It was my responsibility to learn about xAPI statements and training the admin team on how to use them. I was responsible for researching and creating the documentation on what xAPI is, how to write statements, how to update existing content and add statements to new content, and how to use the statements for reporting purposes.

Problem Statement: LMS/LXP admin and content creators are new to using xAPI statements and do not have a basic understanding of how xAPI statements work and how to best utilize them in content and reports.

User Outcomes: LMS/LXP admin team and content creators are able to effectively update and add xAPI statements to content in the LMS/LXP.
